Ron Murray

As a dog trainer and animal behaviorist, Ron Murray has helped people transform their relationship with their dogs for the past twenty years. He is the founder of Montana Murray Kennels, a premier canine training center and boarding facility near Bozeman, Montana. Ron and his staff provide dog training for over 1,500 dogs per year and host a robust dog-walking community with thirty to forty dog-handler pairs participating in large-group Intermediate Dog Training Pack Walks four times a week.

Ron is the author of Sit, Stay, Think About It: Thoughts on dog-training, mentorship, and how dogs transform our lives (forthcoming 2026). Over the years, he has repeatedly empowered his students and clients to not only revolutionize how they relate to their dogs but also to take major strides in changing their personal lives. As he often says, “There is definitely something more than dog-training happening here!”

Ron lives, works, and writes in Southwest Montana with his wife, Holly, and their three daughters. They share their home with 2 dogs, 1 cat, and too many chickens to count.
